Nice to meet you! I’m Kercia (pronounced like ker•sha, in case you were wondering), the artist and designer behind the name. I’m from a small-ish town in Minnesota, nestled between beautiful bluffs and the Mississippi River, where I grew up surrounded by nature and creativity, always finding joy in making things with my hands and exploring the outdoors.
My love for design started young, thanks to my obsession with scrapbooking. I had a thing for fun patterns, inspiring colors, cute stickers, and creative layouts since I was eight years old. That early passion never left and eventually shaped my career, leading me to create playful, hand-illustrated artwork that blends nostalgia with fresh, modern design.
When it comes to creating, you can find me with my Apple Pencil in hand, sketching and drawing on my iPad. I love exploring different textures, colors, and mark-making to bring my illustrations to life. Whether it’s a greeting card, art print, or licensed product, I aim to create designs that make people smile and feel encouraged— it’s all about brightening someone’s day with a burst of delight!
My art is deeply inspired by my belief that we were made to create, reflecting the beauty I see in nature and in the world around me. I’m driven by the desire to express myself and connect with others through color, texture, and illustration, creating work that encourages and inspires joy, while inviting others to feel seen and uplifted.
Over the years, I’ve expanded into illustration and surface design, licensing my artwork to some amazing brands like Kirklands, HomeGoods, and Minted. There’s something magical about seeing my designs out in the world—on store shelves, in homes, and in the hands of customers!
My goal for licensing is to collaborate with brands that share my passion for playful, uplifting design. Through these partnerships, I hope to bring more joy and inspiration into people’s homes, reaching even more spaces where my work can connect with and brighten the lives of others.
I also run my own online shop, a creative space where you'll find designs to brighten life: thoughtful greeting cards, fun stickers, uplifting art prints, and charming tea towels. Each piece is made with care, meant to inspire and uplift—straight from my hands to your home.
My hope? That my work sparks joy, encourages you to celebrate those around you, and reminds you to find beauty in the little things.
When I'm not designing and doodling, you'll find me playing board games, chasing around my nephews, or attempting to keep my semi-thriving plants alive. These everyday moments fuel my creativity and remind me of life's simple beauty.
